Professional Design Practice.
Since the end of August, Start of September I have been in College studying Fashion design and Manufacture. And within this course, one of the classes has been Professional Design Practice, or PDP. This a class that is helping us towards us maybe going into a design team, seeing a process of how it would work towards putting a magazine spread together.
We, as a group of three are working towards a magazine spread in the free magazine 'stylist' which I normally get handed, walking to and from my towns central station (Glasgow central station).
I'll be honest and tell you that i was not up for that class at all at the start, found it very boring i must say, and kind of pointless. And i'm not the only one who finds one or two classes out of their timetable boring. But once getting into at like the fifth week, i really started to enjoy and get to see how this class could benefit me in the near future.
At the start we were told to start a folder up of inspiration and weekly logs, which we are meant to keep up to date and make sense of. My folder wasn't much at first, but now, i must say i'm pretty surprised and pleased with how it's turning out.
At the start of December, as a group were are to show 4 A4 boards of pictures from out photo shoot, which our theme is monochrome, and in a cheaper alternative from catwalk images. To the present these boards in front of a member of the public of the process and how we done it.
So yeah this is just a little thing to show you about one of my classes... nothing to exciting but i felt i should upload a post since i hadn't in ages.
Thanks,
F xo
